A NEW KING
The final game of the Jeopardy Ultimate Tournament of Champions featured these greats:
Brad Rutter, Jerome Vered, and Ken Jennings. Brad got off to a roaring start in the Jeopardy round, and didn't look back.
At round's end, he had a $9,800-$4,600-$2,200 lead over Ken and Jerome, respectively. In the Double Jeopardy round, Brad tightened
his grip on the lead. Ken and Jerome never got a run going, and by the end of the round, Brad had locked up the title. Going
into Final Jeopardy, Brad had a $23,600-$9,400-$8,300 lead over Ken and Jerome, respectively. In Final Jeopardy, Jerome dropped
to $1,000, making his final three-day total $20,600. Ken dropped slightly to $8,599, bringing his final three-day total to
$34,599. Brad, with the title already clinched, went out successfully with a correct response. He didn't wager anything, so
his final three-day total was $62,000. With that, Brad became the new Jeopardy king. He won a whopping $2,000,000 as
a result. Ken took home $500,000 for finishing in second place, and Jerome got $250,000 for finishing in third place.
